In this piece of work Thomas creates a bit-map raster - by hand - through which the figurative element of the blooming tree appears at great depth. The meticulous precision of the bit-map raster meets the soft and capricious branches and blossoms. Thomas challenges the viewer to focus their eye on either the roster, the underlying image or a combination of both.
